Calgary via Kicking Horse

Ahhhhhh the Rockies. We had the pleasure of driving through them twice in 3 days. Got us into talking about rock climbing with ropes. Some of those tops would be sweet to hit. They are maybe the barest tops in the world. Thats why they call them the Rockies I suppose. And steep as well but attainable with ropes. I would not want to free climb it and do not know anything about ropes and have no equipment so a ways away from that. But I want to learn more about it. So we drove to Golden from Vancouver rented a hotel and boarded at Kicking Horse the next day. It snowed that day which was awesome for ripping through the mountain on. Raced Wildned in a snowboard super-g and he kicked my ass, but he gave me the medal as a pity token, which just shows his generocity!

Went to Calgary that night to pick up my Djembe drum that I lent to a friend, headed back the next day. Through the heart of the Rockies one more time! Some call them the most beautiful mountains. I don't know that is a big statement but hey whatever, I like them. Arrived back in Vancouver that night.

Mission: Recover the Djembe -- accomplished.
